Ilinios election Update Oct 6, 2010

Governor:

The Chicago  is reporting Pat Quinn  his opponent Bill Brady have a comparable favorable opinion rating Qunin, 39%, Brady 38%, Undecided 12%, Cohen 4%, Whitney 3%, Other 2%, and Green 2%. The Campaign finance is reporting. The polls of Quinn and Brady are 4-percentage-point margin the race is neck and neck with little more than a month left before the Nov. 2 election.

According to Illinois State Board of Elections:
Brady/Plummer (R) $2,305,524.00  and  Quinn/Simon (D) $2,281,249.00 Cohen (I)
$114,091.00,  Whitney (G) $8,618.00, and Green/Rutledge (L) $1,895.00.

Senate:

U.S. Senate race in Illinois between Democrat Alexi Giannoulian and Republican Mark Kirk with little of one month left. The Chicago polls show Giannoulian’s is currently holding a 38 percents to 36 percent lead over Kirk. However the results falls within the poll’s 4 percentage point margin of error with 17 percent is undecided, , offering large opportunity  in contest that both sides  are trying to influence voters with million of dollars of negative TV adds of both candidates.  Additionally, 41 percent of voters, as well as 42 percent of independents, said they were less likely to vote for Kirk, because of his overstated military claims, while 59 percent said it made no difference or didn't know enough to decide.

Attorney General:
The campaign itself has been low-key. Lisa Madigan (D) has $4,434,234.00  
and her campaign account.. Kim Steven ( R ) have ( $15,917.00

Secretary of State
Jesse White (D) leading at 60% Secretary of State he was elected in office 1998 and was re-elected in 2002 by winning all 102 counties and garnering more than 2.3 million votes .Robert Enriquez ( R ) 15% nominee for Illinois Secretary of State 2010 he attend Baldwin Wallace College1987-1989 he is current holding votes of 627,224.


State Comptroller
Judy Topinka  ( R ) (52%). wants to combine the comptroller’s and treasurer’s offices to save the state about $12 million annually . Democrat David Miller (32%), wants to use to improve public policy through more transparency and greater normalcy in how the state pays its bills even when there is a $13 billion deficit. He also said today that if elected in November he will not accept campaign contributions from any employees in the Illinois Comptroller’s office and any campaign contributions from a contractor that does business with the Illinois Comptroller’s Office.

State Treasurer
Dan Rutherford (R ) is leading polling  (42%)  a candidate for Illinois State Treasurer, a businessman, and an accomplished State Senator his opponent Robin Kelly (D) polling (34%).Chief of Staff for the Illinois State Treasurer's Office she have serve as the primary advisor on all policy, political and operational matters as well as directly supervise and oversee all departments of the Treasurer's Office.


Illinois's 10th Congressional District
Bob  Dold ( R ) seeks for  job creation and retention as one of the biggest issues in this election.  Illinois' unemployment rate 10.1 percent higher than the national average is 9.6 in August.Dan Seals (D) sees job creation and retention as the key issue in this election, and supports measures to make small-business loans easier to receive and start-up costs less daunting. Seals 67.1 percent to Dold 30.2 percent.
