In the last two weeks, Tom Corbett has secured another endorsement that will continue to help his campaign. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has endorsed Corbett and is scheduled to join the Campaign trail with him in late October. Corbett also secured two major endorsements from Philadelphia. The Pentecostal Clergy Political Awareness Committee and the Fraternal Order of Housing Police recently gave their support to Corbett. These are key endorsements that will help Corbett gain votes in Philadelphia which is overwhelmingly a democratic area.
In a new ad, Corbett criticizes Governor Ed Rendell and Senator Arlen Specter for years of wasteful spending. At the end of the commercial Corbett says, "The next time you hear we have to raise taxes because there's nothing else to cut, think about the $10 million for the Arlen Specter library." This is an powerful line because it tries to infuriate citizens for the government’s wasteful spending in a economic recession. Corbett also pledges not to raise taxes and to cut all futile spending. Time will tell to see how effective the commercial is.
